Someone want to tell me how the HELL Nate's relatives keep showing up at the most INOPPORTUNE times, and how they can wave a little so-called EMP generator around and make Nate cry like a little girl?

I am really, really, REALLY beginning to lose patience with these two. Just give me the word, people, and Saul and Gideon and the whole _nest_ will be out of sanction so fast their heads will spin.

On the other hand, we do now have evidence that there may be some dissention in the Clan Morrow ranks. Might even be exploitable, but I'll leave that to the people who specialize in psi-ops.

Me? I just want to go blow something up.

You're telling me that this EMP vulnerability was a _KNOWN_?

There's no mention of it in _ANY_ of his files! Why not?

We cannot afford vulnerabilities of that type to go unreported. It's insanely risky for all of us.

Probably because the last thing we want is for an enemy telepath to smack one of the non-psi's and download that type of thing? We all have psi-training but a good one, like one of ours, can smack down our shields fairly quickly.

I think there are certain things about each of us that are not fully known as a way to reduce risk in cases like that.

Or, even more simply, because Nathan did not want it known. Either case is good enough reason.

I mean, Shaw was throwing it in my face that he knew. My father knows, even if he apparently hasn't told Gideon yet - I wonder if it's sibling rivalry? Nifty little gadget, his. It's like the wireless version of a shock training collar!

I mean, why bother keeping it a secret when everyone but my uncle knows and feels free to use it. My family uses it, my friends use it... I'm sure my enemies are starting to feel left out!

I know we've talked about this, and you're not thrilled about the idea of experimenting, particularly after all you've been through, but I still think it's telling that neither I nor any of the other 'paths around here, are affected by EMP. There has got to be some way we can do research on this that doesn't leave you gibbering, I swear it.

You did tell me, and I continue to have a very low opinion of either their scientific or research methods. My current theory is that it has to do with one or more of the chemicals related to your precognition, potentially similar to your extremely adverse reaction to chocolate, and that it might be possible to come up with a counter, if not all the time then at least that would be useable during missions.
