Six infants in the infirmary, recovered from the Taygetos facility.
There was an incident. The facility was attacked, but we brought everyone back unharmed. Phoenix and Doctor MacTaggart are fine. Cable is not in good shape, all things considered, but last I saw, he was stable.
John Lense is dead.
I'll fill a more detailed report later. I just thought everyone should know the particulars.

The Professor's going to stay in touch with the relevant people at SHIELD and keep an eye on how those kids are doing - hell, he might even wind up taking a hand in their therapy, knowing him.
Compliments and updates aside, once everyone has had some sleep I will of course expect mission reports. I'd say we adapted well to the sudden change in plans (yes, I know, euphemism), but that doesn't mean that I don't want to dissect said adaptation to see if we could have done it better.

Yes, read that sentence again. It says precisely what you think it says. This was not a fortuitous stroke of luck. Without preempting my briefing, this is what Nathan's capture was designed to get us.
Anyone who I just paged - and that would be a lot of you, please report to the Situation Room in an hour for said briefing. I need to check with the Professor and make sure SHIELD's ready to do their part.

x-cyclops.livejournal.comWe've got a problem. Nathan was in New York meeting Mariana Machado and triggered the panic button on his phone. Jean was up in the Blackbird with a few people practicing flight maneuvers, so I sent her and her group in, but they got there too late. We got Machado back safely, that's the only good piece of news, but given who's likely to have been targeting the two of them specifically, and what happened in Moldova, this isn't good.
Charles is in Cerebro, searching. Unfortunately, there's not much to be done until he turns up something.
