The X-Project

That was something of a bust, unless the handful of encrypted files Betsy retrieved turn out to have anything interesting in them. Mission report's filed in the database - there should be individual reports with it by tomorrow.

The details I promised:

Nathan's uncle set him up, using as bait some intelligence on those training camps in Africa that Bridge and his people are looking into. One of Faraday's couriers was dropping off files to a client, and he gave Nathan the address, I gather to see if Nathan was determined enough to get the information to take it away from the courier before he gave it to the client.

Nathan didn't get there in time. The client was Wisdom. I think you can probably see where this is going.

I've seen the offices where this happened. The building is still standing, but the two of them clearly cut loose. The place is a mess - what I'm now realizing were burn marks from hotknives, plus what's obviously damage from telekinesis. We had to back off fast when the police arrived, so we didn't get a chance to go over the place properly. By the time we got back here the Professor had located Nathan so we headed back out to the hospital.

Moira's still there, with Cain watching her and Nathan. Figured he was the best choice, especially given the trouble Faraday had with him in Chad. Nathan looks like a truck hit him and his virus is apparently flaring up; no possibility of moving him, even if that was feasible given the situation in the medlab here. He's not breathing on his own at the moment, so there's no chance of getting his take on things yet.

I don't know if there's any point to anyone going back out to those offices, now that the police have been through them, but I've got the address logged, Remy, if you or anyone from Intel thinks it's worthwhile. Cain will get in touch if there's any trouble at the hospital. Nathan's father was there when we got there - I had Cain escort him out before Moira could tear him limb from limb. No clue what's going on there, what role he had in any of this.

As far as anyone else but the medstaff are concerned, Nathan had an accident in the city and will be recovering in hospital for the next week, let's say. I'm hoping we can get him back home before then, but that'll do for now. I expect you all to stick to that story. To simplify things, he's not up for visitors, and you don't know the details of what happened. I'll make a short post to the main journal - if there are any questions, I'll deal with them.
