This is a team report for the ?Mexico mission. I do not know why I haqd to do it - typing with one working hand on painkillers is not easy.

Overall, as you know, it was ba success. Scott is well snd we handed a number of Preserver prisoners to the government, We dropped them off - lietrally, as we could not land - at the airfiekd where Cooper was waiting.

the reason we could not land is thta the Blackbird will be needing some repair. Julio's post, unforunateky, was not an exaggeration. Also, Jinasena, the bombmaker, was killed in the pocess of reversing what he did to Scott. There was nothing anyone coyld have dione about it.

Finally, |I am not sure whart Cable calls go-pills should be part of the Blackbird's medical kit in future, especiallly for psis. H|e was a little... off on the way back.

"some repair?" Well, yes, you could put it that way. One of the engines is a complete loss, since I had to cannibalize it for parts for the other engine, which held together on the flight back solely by the grace of Dayspring and quite a lot of baling wire. And the hull is Swiss-cheesed. I'm quite honestly surprised we made it all the way back here in what I'm going to optimistically refer to as one piece, ignoring for the moment the pieces that fell off in the hangar when Dayspring stopped holding us up.

Good riddance to Jinasena.

Maybe they didn't. The stealth systems aren't infallible, and if they had scouts out...

Of course, the guy the FBI arrested in New York might also have warned them that someone might be coming. At this point, who knows.

The prisoners do, presumably, and I think it's a question worth putting to them, or having the government put to them on our behalf. After all, there's no point in having a fancy stealth jet if it's just going to be spotted like that.
