Now that I have returned from my time away, there are things I do not feel should be kept secret any longer, at least from my team-mates here. I have never liked keeping secrets, and now I have had some time, I want the truth to be known.

Most of you know I was raised as a fosterling by the Szardos clan, when I was left with them by my biological mother, shortly after my birth. I did not know until very recently who it was that left me there. Now I do, beyond any doubt.

And it was Mystique.

I am easily found, should anyone wish to talk on this further.

I'd say I don't know what to say, Kurt, but that's kind of redundant.

This has to have been a hell of a shock. If you want to talk, you know where to find me.

Although, talking to Wanda, or Nathan when he gets back, might be an even better idea. I imagine they can both empathize with what you're undoubtedly feeling right now a little more effectively than the rest of us can.

When I was young, I often wondered about my natural parents. Who they were, would I have been proud of them, would they have been proud of me . . . I had endless questions, and no way to learn the answers. All I knew, and know now, and ever will know, I suppose, is that they died untimely. And what I was told, and came to believe, and tell you now, is that you are not defined by the circumstances of your birth. Zz'ria was my true father, as the Szardos clan is your true family; they raised you, and loved you, and walked with you as you began the journey that is your life.

What you owe Mystique for your birth is a question only you can answer, but I do not believe that this truth changes anything about the good and honorable man you are today. That is to your credit, and none of her doing.
