So, after his little trip to Europe LeBeau was kind enough to mention that that nice Mr Lensherr's got to be spending money like water in a few places, in order to keep hidden. Which got me thinking about how the bastard has to have funding from somewhere.

Haven't had a lot of luck turning up his funding yet but I did find as many of his US accounts as I could, and after a bit of effort, I've certainly got enough that a friendly law enforcement agency should have enough to get his accounts frozen, especially in light of his rather public display the other week. If we want to do more (and yes, we do want to do more) we may need to do a little light B&E in order to get enough for "beyond reasonable doubt" that it'll take to have them taken away for good, but for now, we can get things in motion.

I've copied what I've got thus far to our three team leaders and Charlie. If we're all happy, I'll have a word with Madelyn, and see if she knows someone in the Bureau who'd be willing to act on an "anonymous tip".

There's a guy at the Bureau listed in Whelan's files in pretty unflattering terms for his interest in mutants: Fred Duncan. According to the FBI website, he's now the AAD in charge of mutant related affairs. Whether he's sympathic or hostile, an AAD has a lot of clout to throw around. As for the B&E, just point out where I should enter and who I get to break.

Seem to recall that Duncan's a mate of Charlie's, so I'd like this to come from someone else if we can. I don't want to leave Lensherr with even the suspicion that someone here was involved in his penury.

As for the B&E - soon as we've got an idea of what else we might need to make the thing stick, I'll let you know.

We can start putting the word out that anyone who holds Lehnsherr funds runs into a very violent and messy end? Maybe a couple of demonstrations to get the point across?

Might be worth a try. Make the well dry up and he'll have a much harder time doing what it is that he does.

That's the part I'm having trouble tracing. He's bouncing his funds through several havens, and while I've dug up at least a few places where he's keeping a lot of his cash, I've not had a lot of joy figuring out who it is that's keeping him solvent.
