So this is where I'm glad I spent the weekend fixing the Blackbird...
Cannonball, Jetstream, Kylun, Cable, Polaris, I want you down here in the Situation Room for a briefing in ten minutes. There's a developing situation in Rio de Janeiro, and the Professor's on the phone with someone from the Brazilian government offering our services. There's a school in Rio, Saint Isabel's, that's just launched an integrated curriculum for mutants and baseline humans, and one of the local anti-mutant groups has apparently decided to storm the place to make a point. The number of hostages - all kids; they let the staff go - is in the low thirties, apparently. It hasn't hit CNN or any of the other major news networks yet, but it shouldn't be long.
Remy, or someone from Intel, whoever's available - if you can join us I'd appreciate it. The group's name is Sangue Puro - I know we've got an open file on them in the database somewhere, Pete pushed it at me to read last fall sometime. But we need a proper briefing, especially if there's been any new information added since.

On my way

Only if you can do it completely untraceably, Doug. I leave it up to your good judgement.

Scout's honor, the picosecond I even suspect someone might be on to me, I'll drop connection faster than a C-64 on AOL.

I did, in case anyone's wondering, keep a paper trail, on actual paper. I took notes of what I did, and put it all back the way I found it once the story hit the AP news wire.
I think next time I could probably drag it out to a little longer. Not much though. There's only so much that can be done to slow down communication in a major metro area without knowing specifics, and I'd need the list of every reporter in a specific area to shut them all down one at a time.
That's a little more data crunching than I can do in five minutes.

Don't start without me.
